Replacement Slide and Apparatus - Rusper Playground

UK4: Tender notice

Publication reference: 2025/S 000-046297

Provision and installation of a slide and associated activity framework for a public playground intended for children aged 4-12 years. The playground promotes physical activity, social interaction, and accessible play for all abilities.

Questions raised by prospective applicants.

1.  Upon reviewing the specification, it appears that the details may have been drawn from a particular unit or model that you are familiar with.

To better assist us in preparing an accurate and competitive quotation, would it be possible for you to share any reference images or further details of the unit you have in mind please ?

Response 6th August 2025 - 9.38am

Please note that the Parish Council is a small organisation, and I work only two days per week. The Council has prepared a specification outlining the key requirements; however, this is not an exhaustive list.

Council would welcome any proposals that align closely with the existing apparatus in terms of size and features — in particular, incorporating a slide. That said, the Council is open to fresh ideas for similar equipment that meets the needs of the space and the community.

For reference, I have attached the latest playground inspection report. The current apparatus can be seen on page 42. The Council is looking to replace this unit with something similar, but are happy to consider alternative designs that fit the footprint and provide comparable play value.

If you require any further clarification or site-specific details, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

N.B. To ensure fairness and transparency in the procurement process, the report will be made available in the Contracts section of the RPC website.
