CO-OPTION OF COUNCILLOR

Rusper Parish Council is looking to co-opt people to fill one vacancy on the Council.

If you would like to help develop, improve, and protect your local community for the future, why not join the Parish Council?

To be eligible, you must be 18 years or older and meet at least one of the following criteria:

• You are registered as a local government elector for the Parish.
• During the whole of the preceding twelve months, you have occupied (as owner or tenant) any land or premises in the Parish.
• Your principal or only place of work during the preceding twelve months has been in the Parish.
• During the whole of the preceding twelve months, you have resided in the Parish or within 4.8 km of it.

The Council meets twice a month for a few hours. It is responsible for managing the Parish precept, considering local planning applications, and representing residents’ views both locally and nationally.
